Chromebook Program (Years 5 and 6 only)

A number of years ago we introduced a ‘one to one’ notebook computer program at Years Five and Six. This has proven to be a very positive decision. We believe this allows the girls the best possible opportunity to fulfil the Information Technology obligations of the Australian Curriculum, and at the same time, develop their skills to the standard expected in the Middle Years.

Extended Hours

At Glennie, we understand that families sometimes need longer days for their daughter. Our Glennie Pitstop (OSHC) offers Before School Care (7:00am to 8:30am), After School Care 3:15pm to 6:00pm and Vacation Care (7:30am to 6:00pm) during the school holidays periods. All Glennie girls are accompanied to and from school by a staff member, and we regularly collect and return children to and from their after-school activities. For further information, please contact Glennie’s Pitstop: Download Information.

Morning Tea and Lunch

We encourage healthy eating in the Junior Years and request that you please provide either fruit or yoghurt as part of morning tea and sandwiches or leftovers for lunch. Please note we ask the children not to bring food items containing tree nuts and peanuts as it may affect students with these allergies.

Tuckshop is available to students each Monday and Friday from the Breezeway Cafe. Orders are placed with Flexischools.

The Student Handbook is available on the portal with an abundance of information you may need to refer to e.g. Pitstop (outside school hours care), code of conduct, assemblies etc. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with the information included in this handbook.

Temporary Boarding

Temporary Boarding is available to Day students in Years 5 to 12. This option is ideal for students during exam weeks, those participating in school programs and activities that require after hour commitments for a short time. Also an option for families with short work travel commitments or family events so a student can continue with their normal school timetable. For further information, please feel welcome to contact us: enrol@glennie.qld.edu.au or phone 07 4688 8888.
